About

Created by Norm Geddis and Jane Knight-Geddis, Vinyl Record Talk began with this blog and an eBay store in 2007. Between 2008 and 2012 Vinyl Record Talk Show with Norm and Jane ran on Radio Dentata. Vinyl Record Talk's eBay store was wildly successful carrying an inventory of around 10,000 records at any one time. Over its lifespan the eBay store offered some of rarest and most unique vinyl records, acquiring several amazing and valuable collections. The greatest adventure in record collecting for Norm and Jane came when in 2011 they acquired 100,000 45rpm records from a closed record store in Oklahoma.

Deciding that the only worthwhile goal of any business is to move from selling things that can be held in the hand to selling pure air mixed with exhaled carbon dioxide, the store was moved over to Etsy in 2012 and dramatically scaled back as demands for Jane's voice work and Norm's PR talents grew.  In 2013, 45 RPM Radio was added to this blog to share over 2000 rare and historic records and rebroadcasts of Vinyl Record Talk Show. The station broadcasts occasionally with notices sent out through Twitter.

Vinyl Record Talk is located in Santa Ana, CA.
