The 13th Floor Elevators were an American rock band from Austin, Texas formed by guitarist and vocalist Roky Erickson, electric jug playerb Tommy Hall, and guitarist Stacy Sutherland. They reigned during the first Psychedelic Era. (1965- 1968) During this period they shared the stage with greats like Quicksilver Messenger Service and Moby Grape.
