45 RPM First - Brian Howard with The Silhouettes "The Worryin' Kind" - First Commercial Single With Jimmy Page On Electric Guitar - Recorded From A Columbia 7067 Vinyl - Released July 1963

It's true the insturmental "Diamonds" by Jet Harris was the first time Jimmy Page received a paycheck for playing in the studio, but he played acoustic rhythm guitar on that song, and yes in Led Zeppelin he did meld acoustic and electric guitar in a way that the world had never before heard, and thus single-handedly ended the 1960s - screw acid and protests, gimmie skunk weed and a muscle car.  But its the electric chops he's known for, and six months after "Diamonds", he played the electric lead you hear on this song.
